What I should do is write about my experience in Switzerland, training and performing with Ozfrank Theatre, but for now I am still spinning that over in my mind. It may eventually make it to a blog, who knows?

John Cholmondeley's bio:

Born too late for my musical taste, I first discovered Roy via Jugula and a gig at Malvern in the summer of '85. My mates were disappointed Jimmy Page didn't turn up, but I was blown away. I'd never seen anyone play anything as long or intense as OOTDIE ... and it all sat very well with my love of stuff like Solid Air. First saw Maz early one morning at Glastonbury in the mid '90's - loved his music too. Must be something about an acoustic guitar and a big PA ...??

Roy and Nick in Guitar Facts book

Watcher's picture

I recently borrowed a book called Illustrated A-Z of Guitar Facts from the library and transcribed the following articles for your delectation. The book was published by Flame Tree Publishing in 2002, ISBN 1904041728 (can you tell I'm a librarian?). There is also a rather fine picture of Roy in a red hat and with guitar at the microphone. There is a website given, www.foundry.co.uk, but I haven't visited it yet.

Harper, Nick

Brew day - Timothy Taylor Landlord clone

pd's picture

I've been talking recently on facebook and twitter about my attempts at all-grain beer brewing. For a while now I've been doing kit brews, which are very easy - simply a matter of emptying one or two tins into a sterilised bucket, adding lots of water, pitching in yeast, and waiting. All the hard work of processing the malt into fermentable sugars, and boiling up with the hops, has already been done and presented in a water-reduced syrup in the tin.

Kenny Wisdom's World of Dissocia

Kenny_Wisdom's picture

I did what any self-respecting, “only with the lights off”, stiff upper-lipped Englishman would do. It was the only decent thing to do, given the circumstances. After all, I thought, what harm could possibly come to me? I was in a car. He was on shank’s pony. Foot traffic nearly always beats motorised, in a court of law. All I need to do is steer well clear and simply avoid him. I went through it all in my mind immediately after I turned the corner.

Songs of Love from The Dream Society

An interview with Aaro Koskinen

Here is Aaro and the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957) in the mystical forests of Helsinki - if you read the liner notes of "Flat Baroque & Berserk" carefully you can find a mention of one his compositions, "Karelia"

Aaro says:

Here are some links:

My home page, which should have everything what I'm currently up to, i.e. blog, gig/record/book/movie reviews etc - I'm trying to be quite active updating the pages:

However it's in Finnish - but - it may be also readable using Google's translation service (which I think it's fascinating although far from accurate :-)):
